About this venue
PDL Padel United opened at Orchard Park in February 2026, bringing padel to the north of Cambridge for the first time. It has four outdoor courts, three set up for doubles and one for singles, which is a sensible mix for a community venue where most play is doubles but some players still want a faster singles game.
You don’t need a membership to play. Courts are bookable by the public through MATCHi, and Orchard Park residents get 20% off their sessions. There’s also a schools programme offering free court time, equipment and teacher training to local schools, so the sport is being built into the area from the start.
At launch the venue ran free introductory sessions and coaching to help new players find their feet. If you’re picking up a racket for the first time, this is a friendly place to start. Court hire runs from around £12 to £24.
